We had a union meeting on site today, first for many many years.
An area manager came down too our office and told our rep that cheadle, chinley and bredbury
were not striking on thursday. BUT our office has two units on it, cheadle and cheadle hulme! which means
the twats want us too cross a picket line........ A&A you can FECK RIGHT OFF :cfo :lfo. Our rep asks us
whether we would cross it and 100% no. so :cfo :lfo
TRY SOMETHING else........
We shall not be moved

And you wait they will be the ones saying"what does the union ever do for me" They are too blind to see that WE are the union and THEY are letting the union down..........P***strythat wrote:My office in Gloucestershire is on strike Thur. We're a DO, unfortunally I will be in the minority, I reckon over 50% will be in this week.
We had so many go in last time, people just see the pound signs in front of the eyeballs, we have people earning shedloads, but thats life I suppose.

Had the same crap in work and told that Liverpool were working!!!! Liverpool working, PLEASE. We may have our differences with our scouse friends but, when it comes to strike action the one office you can rely upon 100% is Liverpool. Hope everyone keeps up the good work. Having read an article a few weeks ago a Royal Mail spokesperson reckons that after the fourth strike day, support for the strike will start to falter. Keep the faith and lets show how wrong they are.

Thats what I try to tell them, but it's like talking to pork. Trouble is so many went in last time, that the rest just think why should we lose dosh, very sad really. Of course what they forget is, it's the people in their 20's and 30's that we're fighting for, I don't see a mail service for them to work in by the time they get to my age (middle 40'sshelanda wrote: And you wait they will be the ones saying"what does the union ever do for me" They are too blind to see that WE are the union and THEY are letting the union down..........P***s
We've got blokes coming in to cross the picket, when they're on rota weeks or holidays, how sad is that?

Nothing to do with floods :lfo :cfo Evesham DO (Worcs) has had about 10 strike breakers added to the numerous non-union disposable part-timers recruited in past 2 years working from the start of strike. Some of these strike breakers have been coming in an hour early for no extra pay
and the part-timers are getting 2 hrs o/t for going over duty by
4 hrs. When you're working with timid numbnuts like this, the road seems a long f***ing uphill slog. :lfo :cfo

It appears that Royal Mail are diverting loads of work into there on the pretext that Woking are working tomorrow. What's the score there then?
