Does anyone really believe anything they hear in WTL? Its Royal Mail's chance to get everyone together and spin its propoganda.
Its bollox IMO. If its true then they are idiots and everything RM want should be introduced there asap and let them suffer.

strike

That's what they will be doing now, planting a few rumours here & there saying this & that areas are not striking. Down here in Plymouth 100% on night shift union reps well pleased. Just smile to yourselves when they try & say our resolve is weakening it's a complete load of bollox, you just got to be proud of yourself in what you believe to be right & wrong, stand firm

Anyone on here from Woking Distribution Centre? It appears that Royal Mail are diverting loads of work into there on the pretext that Woking are working tomorrow. What's the score there then?

I think Gloucester and Worcester or at least parts of it have agreed to suspend the strikes because of the continuing problems after the flood. Not sure about reading though it is possible as they were on the edge of the floods.

Nothing to do with the floods, Worcester M/C is definatly out. As for Reading and Gloucester haven't heard anything, but seems strange, as both these mail centres are due to close under RM's restructuring. Their work is being moved to Swindon.

As i say it seems strange.

After the first strike our Dum said that Portishead had all gone in,seem to forget that a quick phone call can check this out
Pity they printed a photo in the local union mag showing them on picketlines

yep. . . . . going on in the south east too

some posties in our mail centre (tonbridge) have been told that we are not supposed to be out on strike with the rest of the country. . . . . . . what a steaming great pile of poo . . . . . . . let me assure you all, sevenoaks delivery office is in full support of the national action and has had 100% support in the last 4 strikes with not one member going in . . . . . we hope to keep this record this coming thursday and for any more coming strikes . . . . . .we are now withdrawing all goodwill too, resulting in most jobs breaking off from delivery every day .

I have just spoke to cwuse5 branch which covers Reading MC, there has been a admin cock-up, but the branch will be requesting to take additional i/a from headquarters if any further strikes take place.

They are definitely not scabbing, that is just what they want you to think, just ignore them.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
