Thanks

Re: Interview
The interview is not high pressure and should present no problems. Generally IIRC from my interview they ask:
1. Depending on you role they ask you questions on local geography. They ask if you know where such and such a district is in your area,.
2. They ask about your general fitness and if you capable of walking 5 - 6 miles with a heavy bag. They may ask if you walked in and how long it took you, they did me.
3. They will try to gauge how you will work in a large team, and by yourself. Being a Postman involves both.
4. If you have any relevant experience try to mention it.
At the interview wear smart clothes to make sure you stand out, Jacket and tie are ok, but a dinner suit or jeans should be avoided.

Re: Interview
They may well ask how you would get to work, as you might be starting before public transport is running.

Re: Interview
In my day there used to be a formal test, identifying postcodes and mispelt addresses etc, involving both these 'skills'dblad wrote:first thing I got asked was if I could read and write

I went for Interview and it went really well.
There was nine of us interviewed for three positions. No formal tests on the day , just an informal chat. (i had already passed two online tests)
A few days later, I got an email containing the following.

Re: Interview
Hi Andrew
You will then be given a start date and told to report to a office to receive your induction, this may not be at the office where you end up working.
IIRC from the new recruits here, you will receive security training, H+S training and depending on the role applied for localised training.
Is it just for xmas or is this for a permanate job.
Regards
