Got my MRI tomorrow evening hope they stick me in feet first. Now on light(er) duties at work until I have an op then have to be referred back to ATOS.

Have they said how long it will take till you see the specialist with the results and then how long till the OP.
All of mine were 6 weeks between MRI the Specialist then OP, 18 weeks in total.
Hope yours are quicker.

The consultant told me to make an appointment to see him 2/3 weeks after the MRI. Don't know how long I'll have to wait for an op. I was going to ask the radiographer for a copy of the report, hopefully they do that, then I'll have some idea of what questions to ask when I go and see the OS.

I thought the specialist looked at all the pics and decided from that, that seemed to be what happed with mine.

Well that was fun the machine scared the crap out of me for the first couple of minutes. Took 40 mins to scan my knee, luckily I was only in the machine from my waist down any further in I think I would've freaked. It took 10 mins to go through the questionaire so I could go in.....did you know that tattoos can heat up in an MRI
I was'nt given any results, got an appointment beginning of next month to see the consultant. So only a few more weeks to wait for a confirmed diagnosis

Been on lighter duties since I had the ATOS report through(19/07), now the LM's are questioning it. They say the report is too vague and its only advice.
It says I am fit to continue working with recommendations -
Reducing delivery to half a driving delivery and indoor duties the rest of the working day.
No walking for over an hour.
No pushing yorks.
Vary sitting/standing every 30/40 mins.
During walking delivery to deliver from golf trolley rather than carrying pouches.

Is that vague?
I'm getting really pissed off with LM's thinking they know best. I know they are only questioning it because of the amount of uncovered walks and they don't want to have to go out and do any part of a delivery.

I get my MRI results next week and then all will become clear............hopefully!

Just stick with what atos say, i Had a report from atos saying i must only do what i feel comfortable doing and that if i need to rest ect i must be allowed and that i must not be given any work I'm not happy to do.
OH and no extra work like lapsing.To be fair my manager is one of the good ones, he has even given me a copy of atos report so that if we have a temp manager theres no confusion about what i do and don't do.

Well I got my MRI results this afternoon. I've a torn cartilage (lateral meniscus) and have also acquired a cyst because of the tear. Just got to wait for an operation date now so they can remove the damage.

Just an update. The managers put me back on full duties and were'nt taking any notice of the ATOS report. GP has had me signed off for the past month because I was causing more damage to my knee. ATOS were in touch again a few weeks back and agreed with the GP. Hospital have been in contact and I've got my knee op in a couple of weeks. Should be back for light duties just before xmas pressure kicks in.
Not heard from any managers since I was signed off, no phone call, no letter......nothing. Don't know if thats a good or bad thing
