slight incline only, 1 mile from office , drivers will see hct as never having to take a packet ever again so bear in mind normal pouch weights apply when hct is not viable on certain parts of your walk .

Check out the "Lighten the Load" booklet in http://www.cwu.org/uploads/documents/HS ... e-Reps.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The HCT is intended to be used on level or undulating surfaces where small inclines do not cause any additional
force to be exerted. Use of HCTs in all circumstances will in any case be subject to local risk and safety assessments undertaken by the manager in consultation with the local Safety Representative.
Also ask him for the SSOW for HCTs your are entitled to read it, in fact it may even be mandatory.

We use HCT and once again if you read all the relevant documents its not exactly clear if you there is any restrictions with steep hills etc.The idea is to plot the delivery so you are pushing trolley down hills but obviously thats not possible in all cases.

I just think the weight of whats in the trolley has to be reduced when on undulating and steep inclines and cant find anywhere where it says trolley not to be used on steep inclines.If im wrong then ive been lead of the garden path by my area H&S rep because he signed the deliverys off.

just weight restrictions on steep inclines (max 70kg), although it could cause the trolley to tip over/spin to an angle whenever you stop moving it if its a very steep incline so not sure why it isnt restricted altogether

The original idea was to use electric HCTs on hills etc but they are so prone to breaking down they are apparently removing them.
HCTs can be used on inclines but max weight of 35kg in them (or so I read ) which makes them as much use as a ........
