DWP/DSS Disabilty Assessment test?

Hi, after a number of Dog Incidents/Injuries, I have been advised by the CWU Legal Dept to undergo the Dept of Work and Pensions "Disability Assessment" Test.
I was reluctant at first, as I don't wanna been seen as swinging-the-lead-, but ANOTHER Dog Incident/Injury AGAIN today had changed my mind for me.

Does anyone know what the tests are,
What they check,
How you are assessed,
What the Possible Outcomes might be?

Except for the problems by our Furry Friends, I'm very active, fit and able to undertake nearly all work related tasks.
It's only sudden, unplanned and unprovoked sidewards/explosive movements that catch me out, ie, chased/attack by dogs etc.
Multiple physio, injections and other medical treatment hasn't led to a solution 2 yrs down the line...
( I've put something similar onto other Threads, so apologise if you think you are having Deja Vu!!)

Would appreciate any info/advice etc.

I had an assessment last year, basically its just a list of questions and then an examination by an ATOS Dr. They then write to you and tell you their decision. Even though I'm still injured after 18 months I did not qualify. They do it in percentages and anything below a certain % does'nt qualify, 20% I think.

Think cwu lady mentioned 13% or so, but I feel that this is too high for me as I'm able to do most normal things.

I'll contact em to see what they say.

i got assesed after i broke my foot a year ago getting out of my van the man i went to see from the industral injurys said i was left with a 15 percent disabilty and the dwp said they would pay me 29.50 a week indusrail injurys payment i can not walk very fast or and after about a hour of walking im in bad pain but royal mail dont reconise it as a disabilty which i found strange so i contacted the dwp about what they said and they said that they would make sure i was ok and treated right hope that helps dose anyone no if we are insuerd by royal mail for accedents on duty a the union said after a year of having you accedent assesed a royal maill payment would be made any help

Still no reply from DWP etc, so maybe they are assessing me to see if I need a visit etc.

Back on Lt Duties, Mon - Fri, but... asked to do collection.

1/2 way in to collection, Flat tyre. No spare, no jack, nothing at the office.
( Ok, I shudda checked beforehand...But probably couldn't have changed wheel anyway with dodgy leg, hence, "LIGHT-DUTIES" promise...)

Called the base, was asked to "Drive back slowly" WTF! This wud be Suicide!!!

Refused, so got van swap, then AA had to tow van to base.

You can't make this stuff up...

That one off payment from Royal MAIL all depends on weather the DWP classed your dissability as for LIFE , IF it is a life decision you get around £400 for each % over 14% eg. 20% would get you roughly £8000

Don't RM drivers rules say you don't change a wheel yourself.
This is only allowed in my area if you are stranded and AA can't get out to you ( We are very Rural ) and if you do do it yourself you have to get it checked out by the workshop ASAP, which is fun as it's 15 miles away.
