Workers at a distribution firm in Corby are to be made redundant on Friday when it closes with the loss of 58 jobs.
Home Delivery Network in Commercial Road has completed a three-month consultation exercise with employees over the closure, which was announced in April.
A spokesman for the company confirmed that the workers' last day will be Friday and said some people could be moved to other positions elsewhere within the organisation.
HDNL distributes 300,000 parcels and large consignments around the country each year and is the UK's largest home delivery service.
In April a spokesman for the company said that the decision to close the Corby operation had been taken in the long-term interests of the business in a competitive market.
The company said the union Usdaw, as well as employees, would be involved in the consultation process.
The number of people out of work in the Corby area now stands at 2,272 and the latest job losses is a blow for the town.
