Now, now , stop flaunting your wealth in front of a peasent like meself. :Very Happy

I'll be lucky if I can afford a cardboard box under the arches in Shepherd's Bush, when I go there for my holidays. :Very Happy
Don't worry my good man, I'm sure I'll be able to pop a copper or two into your upturned Postman Pat hat whilst on my way to the holiday villa - had my wage slip today and I must admit I was extremely surprised to see a whopping lump sum in back pay! There could well be a second holiday villa on the horizon - I am open to suggestions as to what I should call the guest suite - The villa will be called Leighton Towers after my best mate who cannot tell a lie but he does have the longest nose in christendom.

Brunch is an interesting word but I'm afraid it is only for blue collar workers - no we gliterrati have working breakfasts - which is much earlier - in my case about 03.45. Brunch on the other hand is for the lazy sods who only get up at 09.00, have the 3 Ss and stroll down for brunch about 10.00. You see we rich and powerful moguls have to get up early to begin writing our books - Al is on his next one already - I think it is called "The art of getting a condom on your head" - I'm not entirely sure how he came about the idea!!!!!!!!!

The list of qualifying offices is on the CWU website. Follow the links through to the members page. It's under efficiency scheme 2006/07. I'd post it on here but i'm fecking thick.
As for the rise, it makes me want to vomit. 33p is a joke. I've posted this before but this proves we work in the most manager orientated business in the world. They recieve a fat QoS bonus which we deliver for them, we get an insult.

Me and My colleagues received 92pence from 2006/2007 efficiency savings, the relief dum we have in our office, just received £1,500!! Without all our hard work and effort he would have got JACK SH*T, but we got sweet FA as usual!

What the hell do we have to do to get recognised and rewarded for our contribution? :arrrghhh :mad

Well , according to Lamebrain & Dozier , about 40% more work.

If we weren't so underworked , we might've got a whole quid !

payment

Post by vigilante »

here chaps :Very Happy

33p payment for us…. Sadly it’s not a joke

You will all be delighted to know that the fourth and final quarter of last years efficiency scheme has brought us the massive increase of 33 pence per week. This insulting payment is sure to galvanise support for the national postal strikes over the next two weeks.

Royal Mail have recently advised us that they have calculated the amounts due for the final quarter of the Efficiency Scheme 2006/07 which ended on the 25th March 2007. The total addition to consolidated basic pay will be £49,178 a week which when divided by the total staff equals an increase of 33 pence per week. This payment will be made into wages next week.

A quick calculation shows that at 33 per week we would all have to work for another 116 years to match the £2000plus bonuses that were received by management.

This clearly shows the contempt that Royal Mail holds it’s workforce in. Please continue to back the union and remember – don’t spend your bonus all at once! 

Payment timing

Post by BB brother »

Thanks for the replies chaps.

But what i mean is why make this clearly antagonistic payment during one of the key moments of an industrial dispute?

Did they have to due to legal requirements?

wind up

i think it's (allegedly) a blatant wind up.
Especially when they won't release profit figures and make it well known what :lfo :cfo are getting :mad
