UK Mail Group Full Year Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - UK Mail Group Plc (UKM.L: News ) announced preliminary results for the year ended March 31, 2010 posting profit of £ 12.7 million or 23.0 pence per share, compared to £ 8.9 million or 16.2 pence per share last year. The company noted that prior year results are restated.

Adjusted basic earnings per share, which exclude the impact of the exceptional items last year, increased 5.9% to 23.4 pence from 22.1 pence in the previous year.

Pre-tax profit rose to £ 17.8 million from £ 16.0 million in the previous year.

Full year revenues were £ 385.2 million, compared to £ 385.7 million in the prior year period.

The company's board has proposed an increase of 9.3% in the final dividend to 11.8 pence per share, resulting in an increase in the total dividend for the year to 18.2 pence. The dividend will be paid on July 23, 2010 to shareholders on register as at June 25, 2010.
