I am a Postie who works in Hampshire.

I've done this job for nearly two years.. My background is IT and I have been lucky enough to work at a high level for major companies.

I do this job because I enjoy it. But, I do have observations about how the organisation is run (and not many are good).

The culture of managment bullying staff is rife.

I had only been working for 6 weeks or so when the 'Pegasus' team came in and did a presentation. When I had the temerity to ask questions regarding how the system worked ... I was told that I did not have the experience to ask questions. (how does that work?)

I am a reserve; so do many different duties. So far I have done 25 different duties. A week here and there and constantly thrown into new ones at no notice. I am told that when you are a postie then all duties are easily learned 'blind'. So there you go with a 'map' (which probably does not have all the streets on) and no way to know how to bag it up ... and you get asked why you are late back!!!

I could go on and on... but I wont.

A last thing... All my duties are bike ones.... But I don't have a bike!!! I use the bike that is assigned to the duty.. if it is there. Otherwise I am told to wait until everyone is gone and take a bike that is left. It makes me laugh.

Regards

Paul
