AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - TNT NV's Dutch postal unit TNT Post has signed a multi-year distribution contract with Sanoma Uitgevers, a Dutch unit of Sanoma WSOY, the companies said in a press release.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The contract calls for the delivery of 73 mln magazines, 800,000 parcels and 17 mln postal items per year, according to the statement.
A TNT post subsidiary will also be involved in the application of an electronic payment system for customers.

AMSTERDAM, July 2 (Reuters) - Dutch mail company TNT said on Monday it is acquiring a 25.1 percent stake in German regional mail delivery company Nordwest-Mail GmbH in Bremen, known as CITIPOST Bremen.
The stake gives TNT Post access to more than 400,000 households in the area, TNT said in a statement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TNT said the contract was an extension of past agreements and involves the regular distribution of door-to-door flyers from the Gamma and Karwei store chains with a combined circulation of 10.3 mln copies.
