So my apologies to Mmax for not welcoming him here before as I should have being a Moderator and to everyone else that is doing the right thing and treating him at face value.
Hi TrueBlueTerier Thank you for the welcome, no apology needed, I lookforward to Partipating in the forums, I am not looking for any flame wars
but I do believe what is right and fair and being respectful of people something sadly, that is missing from Royal Mail Managment.
I'm a part time postie only 6 months+ into the job.
Previously I've worked - as a manager - in the private sector and to be honest the IR in the Royal Mail stink.
You cannot expect to take people along with you by threats, harassment and bullying....you have to take them along with their consent.
The fact that 76% of those who voted for industrial action tells its own story of the IR in this organisation.
As it goes I have a pretty decent manager who I would go out of my way to support, but the more senior management leaves a lot to be desired.
