FRIDAY 13th HOLDS NO FEAR (Shreak Scream aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!)
(But just incase I'll take a fire exinquisher to our picket line BBQ)
It would be awful if scab or manager passed the picket line tripped over a foot carelessly misplaced
and landed head first into a fist.
nuhh nuhh, friday the 13!! (a variation of april fools days)

If they have any more strikes on a friday for delivery members then my lads and lases will get pissed off at it being the ame people always getting to keepa days pay due to strike day being their day off. Support will dwindle beyond all shadow ofa doubt at my office.
Some lost out on working their day off last friday due to honouring the strike and standing on the picket line. If strike day wasa different day and they were able to work on the friday then they would have been better off as they would have got more through OT than and losing a days pay than not losinga days pay and not getting any OT. Now they are expected to do the same again next friday.

To be quite honest, they should be thankful that they might have an opportunity to recoup the lost wages in o/t no chance of that where I work, even if there was I could not do it for family reasons.

I Have to agree with Big Daz I've had lads complaining that,
thats twice they have lost a days pay as well as S/A in the afternoon
thats £100 per strike!! they can't do that for too long
the days need to be alternated. Change of subject
With all this crap about not being able to slag off the slags how do you stand if you hold up a poster that say's I CAN'T SAY IT
BUT I CAN
THINK IT!!!
Answers on a postcard please.
The problem here is that we do not have a consistent attendance model across the business. After so many forced and sometimes negotiated changes it is difficult (from what I have seen on this site) to find any large geographical area with the same start times, attendance pattern or rest day arrangements - there are several sometimes even within the same office !!!
Sale D.O. has rolling days off for both f/t and p/t staff - 3on/3off for part time staff and different arrangements again for driving duties, some of which I believe have the same day every week. Somewhere along the way someone is going to be handed the shitty end of the stick when we take industrial action. I have assumed I will lose out every time we strike and if it falls that I don't then I will spend a few quid on a treat for the picket line and consider it well spent.
I do sympathise Daz, but solving this problem is going to take a bit of thought or goodwill in allowing the continual losers to change a shift or two with solid strike supporters who are losing nothing. Best wishes and keep the faith.
