where do you stand on the issue of people who cut off due to child care responsibilities like myself. And then are regularily threatened with various conduct/performance issues when we can't completed a full time duty in part time hours?

Hi Concerneduk, that would come under family friendly If someone need to pick up their children from school I would support them by finding ways to help them, Not to hinder
Any manager worth their salt and had any ounce of decency would.

Hi Mucker to be quite frank I don't blame you, are you supprised? please don't be, there are some managers left with their own common sense and who dissagree with whats going on.
I think it's high time managment began to make a stand, there are a lot of managers who are too afraid to say anything to the bulling senior managment, they just say yes and suffer the Consequences after, rather than taking a stand.

Im glad you mentioned the word "Common Sense" it is a problem IMO in Management,i agree that some Dont have the Balls to say what they really think,as a DOM I assume you are classed as a senior manager(correct me if im wrong)im not surprised by your stance on the strikes to be honest,do you make a stand against your bosses?

Your comment's reafirm my thoughts toward senior management im sure i dont need to list them as you already no what they will be...

Your comment's toward child care problems i find quite refreshing,However if you were my DOM i would only then no the truth, and you would then be genuine, not just a manager posting on this forum, what you think we want to hear.....

Hi Mucker thanks for your comments, I can assure you I am not senior managment, I am at the bottom of them I'm afraid!a DOM

and i can honestly say i am not just posting things that i think you want to hear

Yes I have taken stands Against my bosses when asked to do what i don't agree with or what is not achieveable for the staff...and I'm still here !

its knowing the truth and saying what is right and what is wrong and i Reaffirm I do not agree with what Royal Mail are doing

I had a PM from postman your moderator today to try to work a way to confirm i am genuine while trying to keep my ID private.
please take my word for it I am genuine

Can I say its very refreshing to see a thread both from an honest manager and one that has not descended into the typical flame war that so often occurs on here when a Manager puts his head above the parapet.

So my apologies to Mmax for not welcoming him here before as I should have being a Moderator  and to everyone else that is doing the right thing and treating him at face value. :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause
