Royal Mail PROFITS

Post by deadbox »

2004/5 PROFITS PUBLISHED 17TH MAY

2005/6 PROFITS PUBLISHED 18TH MAY

I WONDER WHY THIS YEARS FULL YEARS PROFITS HAVE NOT BEEN PUBLISHED ?????

SOMETHING TO HIDE ?

( 1/2 YEAR PROFITS OF £22M WERE "ALTHOUGH LOW, IN LINE WITH EXPECTATIONS--R.M. )
I was sure I'd seen a bead of sweat on my line manager the other day - Until I realised that he had just brushed past me too close

The figures have been held back hoping that the IA would have been settled before their release as the profits will not reflect the doom and gloom state of the business that has been used as a propaganda tool by RM. They HAVE to release them before end of July so hang in there folks.

Sorry, this might sound really dumb, but why are they compelled to release the results by the end of July? If there is a rule / law they have to follow, I'd cheerfully give up a few days wages for a result in my wages :dance :dance :pray

That's the big rumour MDEC101. Apparently RM had the best xmas ever and in the pressure that followed, DSA items didn't have the effect that they had in the 1st half of the year. Like I said, Rumour. But these rumours have a good record of becoming fact.
Let's see if they come the 'CANT AFFORD' bollocks if it's true

The only reason RMs half year profits were £22 million was because they had to pay £170 million into our pension fund so you can bet that the total profit is going to be between £200-£400 million...UNITY IS STRENGTH.

Can you imagine the public outcry there would be if that was true about the 340 million profits!!!
I think we should hold out until the end of July. Over a billion loaned to us from the government and a vast amount of profit should give us a lot of public support. Managers getting a nice little bonus, But they swear blind their getting nothing, usual DUMs talking s**t. I think this strike action is the strongest supported action the country has seen for a long long time. All WE WANT IS A FAIR INCREASE IN BASIC PAY, WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED
THAT MEANS
NO LATER START TIMES
NO MONTHLY PAY
NO EXTRA D2D DELIVERED FOR NOTHING
NO SPLIT SHIFFS
NO TEAM WORKING
NO MORE PART-TIMERS TAKING FULL TIME JOBS
GIVE THE PUBLIC A PUBLIC SERVICE THAT WE ARE PROUD OF (OR WAS ONCE PROUD OF)
LETS BE THE WORLDS BEST

Sorry, could someone explain to me why this is? I only want to be utterly certain those two worms can't wiggle off the hook.
