Hello all!
I'm a customer with a micro-biz (my sole income) with a turnover of £12k of which £2k is spent on postage.
My average order value is less than £15 and, although I offer a full range of delivery options (2nd-class, 1st, SD Next Day and courier), naturally the vast majority go for 2nd-class as an acceptable proportion of their order value. I doubt Home Delivery Network etc could provide a viable alternative for a couple of quid per package, so RM's survival is of great importance to me.

My personal circumstances, and those of my customers, have me fairly well trapped in this occupation and level of sales (somewhat insincere gratitude to New Labour's New Deal programme for the £250 startup grant, with zero follow-up). OK, I'm surviving, but you'll appreciate that the public's loss of confidence thanks to media reports can have a major effect. Thankfully, this week's order levels have been more normal, but I hope that won't be a signal for future industrial action to produce more severe disruption. Else it will be back to making £50 per week, or less
Anyway, those are my problems. Best of luck in solving yours!
