I know that mail is being moved all around the country, could be in one of these depots where the work is being done by casual workers.
One of the problems with LOVEFILM is that you the customer has no proof of posting,

Lovefilm items always travel first class letter post and even allowing for strikes should have been delivered well before now, given the date you quoted as the posting date. My office is handling them in both directions on a daily basis and all of them as first class mail are cleared as they come in to us.

Sadly, I suspect they may have been intercepted by a badly vetted opportunist, temporarily employed to line his own pockets at our expense. As the poster, YOU should initiate the enquiry about the item's whereabouts starting at the office that would have collected it from the post box where it was posted.

It is very unusual in my experience to lose items like this, never on my walk and I can't even recall it happening on any of my colleagues walks either, in fact one of the reasons Lovefilm is sticking with us despite the industrial action is because we are a safe, reliable service. Good luck.

Have you had problems with LoveFilm before - II ask this because I am a member, and this year I have sent 2 back which they never received. After I contacted them they sent me a sheet to fill out which I did and then returned it. I have never had to pay any thing to replace them ever.

ive been with love fil many times and currently am..
they are awful for losing stuff.
being a postie i recieve and watch everything fast and its back for last post.so i get as much for my money as possable.
but on several occasions i know full well that ive put all three in one return envolope yet they "say"they only got two back.so clearly they arnt scanning them all back in..mistakes happen but its happened several times to me alone.
ive gone with every OTHER RENTAL COMPANY BUT LOVE FILM KEEP EATING THEM UP.
im now back and so far touch wood, even in the strikes ,ive had not one problem and i am a prolific user if you know what i mean" harhar me harties" :whistle

love film have said any disruption to service you can claim back.so dont worry.you aint paying a thing.
also not sure about you fine.....they dont charge you late fees or even lost fees unless you broke them at home..they charge royal mail. who pay

They will send you a form to fill out either through the post or email I forget.

Ignore the fine business I think they use that to scare people who decide to keep them and claim they have gone missing in the post, although if it keeps happening they will drop your account and call in the police.

linkinpark wrote:crazy fan If you go to the Post Office you can get a proof of posting form that holds about a dozen or so boxes you then fill out a box with the posting address for each item you wish proof of posting for, take this filled in form to your Post Office and hand it with the items they take the items stamp the form and BINGO you have your proof of posting and it costs nothing and takes about Two seconds. A bargain me thinks! Give it a go.

Which is a lot less time than you have spent trying to sort out your problem.

I've been with Lovefilm for a couple of years now and they have never lost anything (nor has anything been lost in the post thusfar-touch wood).

If you look on their main page, they have a link near the top to tell them if you've had any trouble because of the strikes and they dont want their customers to lose out.

Royal Mail strikes:
With negotiations at Royal Mail ongoing, we'll continue to make up for any loss of viewing you experience, so please tell us if you have been affected.

Postal Strike Disruption

We know the current postal strikes may have disrupted your service, and we’re committed to making up for any loss of viewing. Please tell us if you have been affected. We will make every effort to replace any rentals you have missed, and we’ll let you know how we will do this next week.

I believe I have missed out on rentals.

If you have already told us how you have been affected, we have recorded your information, and you will be hearing from us next week. Please don’t feel you have to contact customer services as well, this page tells us all we need to know.
