Hi good postman :wave please do not stike we the general public are not behind you , i run a mail order business and send 150 special delivery items a week , i used to use royal mail now i have switched to city link .. :wave i am not alone many more will do the same ... why ruin it for yourselves? you can not gain the support of the working classes by making there lives hell.

Welcome to RMC youlazysods :wave The reason we are striking is to protect and improve the service we give to you,our customers.If we dont then management will go ahead with there plans and destroy the service :sad: If thats ok with you then fine :whistle if not then SUPPORT US and help us to IMPROVE the business.

Hi I appreciated your comments, but you cannot say the general public do not support us, i mean have you spoken to everyone :hmmmm most of the people I speak to, are behind the posties going on strike. if you want to end up with a private royal mail, than I wish you good luck collecting your mail, from various different mail companies :cuppa


PS! your username say alot about you and also proves you have no idea what we do, if you think getting up 5am, sorting letters till 9am, and than cycling and walking for 4 hours. carry heavy mail bags, I love to see what you do for a living, that if you are working :no no

Hi -Rob, ex postman 10yr. As the mod said, they are trying to protect the service!
ITV reporting that RM managers have been setting up 'shadow mail centres' around the country over a period of time, to be manned by temps/casuals in case of strikes?
Just seen interviews with some of them... :d'oh! ... The top management have ruined RM - Adam Crozier top of the list!

Somerfield, you got to laugh at a name like that, if it anything to go by the standard of the services you get in their shops, it doesn' surprise me one bit, that Somerfield doesn't explain why,it not in support, as half of the workers there, hardly ever say a word :funneh

im a postie and i can say that the genral public (as long as they get there child tax credits and giro's) are behind us but eh there not the one's that count ... i also know personally 8 small to medium businesses (who are run by friends or family) who are totally pissed of with it all and find the head of the cwu and the goverment complete t**S .. so eh although i understand why the strike is in place and why people feel they need to strike .. for the main the people we deliver to door to door do not realy count and do not pay the wages .. its businesses that count ..oh ps the amount of complaints i get day to day about door to doors are growing by the day !!
