Seeing as I have already said I rely solely on RM it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out I must own a mail order business and it's hardly a giant leap from that to figure out that I have to spend time using the internet so it's not really a big push to think I can spend 3 minutes at the end of my day posting here is it.
Oh wait... apparently it is because I've just had to spell it out.
When RM have recently been "losing" between 3-5% of everything I post (yes 3-5%) I claim for the loss from RM but those customers will probably never come back because as most mail order companies will know, buyers tend to blame the company not the courier so unknown future profits are lost for something which is not my fault.Hugh_G_Rection wrote:
WILL YOU GIVE ME YOUR GOODS/SERVICES FOR FREE IF I BUY FROM YOU? THOUGHT NOT WHY SHOULD WE AND YOUR EMPLOYEES WORK FOR FREE THEN?
It also takes about 20 minutes per lost item to fill out the forms. 20 minutes for which I AM NOT PAID it is just to claim back what I am rightfully owed from RM because THEY "lost" the item. Time is money and it's just the same as you. Putting unpaid time into something which you just should not have to do.
So don't lecture me about how working 10 minutes over your hours unpaid is unfair. After spending the last 10 years getting paid full hours and then going home early with full pay you can't work all the hours you are paid and give just a little back here and there to a company that has given you such a cushy option for the last 10 years while losing money hand over fist!
10 years ago I used to work for Sky installing systems and I had the same deal. I got paid for 8 hours but often only worked 5 and went home. But when I was asked later to go back out or give a little bit back by working over on different days I wouldn't moan. You've had 10 years of being paid over your hours. Crozier brought the hammer down on this (and quite right to) and you dont' like it.
Why thank you. I take that as a compliment. I acknowledge your underlying suspicion but I'll gloss over it quickly because that's all the response it deserves.norbert wrote: I'm afraid these people lay it on a touch too thickand some of these posts are just a tad too well written

Break the whole bloody company and infrastructure up and flog it off to DHL, Fedex and the rest. Yes prices will rise but maybe we'll have a reliable service. And if you think you have a hard life now, do you think a private company wouldn't have hard targets, want you to be fast, efficient, work every minute of your paid hours. Do you think they would even bother to keep half of you on.
You don't know you're born.
