Hi all, Ive just got home from the Picket line (5am start) long day guys! but Im pleased as punch with the members at Preston as with the membership througout the whole country it seems have done us proud, over 850 members of staff in the Mail Centre and only 8 Sc*** oops, 4 of whom are the non members. the DO's have been even better with "0" attendees.

Mr Leighton and co have started the propoganda already saying the 60% of the workforce attended. apparently he is using annual leave, sick leave, managers and special leave and saying that these were not on strike, so they count towards the number of employees that turned into work !!!. We MUST ensure that our members and the Public know that these figures are as real as the 27% pay rise that we are allegedly demanding :no no . Obviously we all hope that a settlement will now come following such a tremendous turnout, but if it does'nt then we must also ensure a 100% turnout, if we have to walk again. Talk to your Union reps and find out who came into work get your Union to write to them, not to threaten or intimidate them but explaining the error of their ways and to encourage them to support any further action



We cannot afford to let i :cfo and :lfo win this fight keep up the good work guys and Keep askin questions!!!

our office opens at 0400 with two phg's "as they were called" and two men to tip and snip ready for the 0430 statrters.. but unbelievably we have ppl there waiting to get in b4 those staff have arrived so that they can start to throw out their mechs...
lunacy we have approached them but its like talking to a brick wall they are their own worst enemy..job and finish has something to answer for i prefered the good old days when we stopped out in a cafe or go to the pub rather than go back and have to sort...i miss 2nd deliveries....
make it a level playing field and we will start to be competitive again !!!! support yor union its there for you !!
