new boy

Post by shedboy »

Hello everyone, I'm a postman in Milton Keynes, joined the job last April and have been on 3 month contracts ever since. Previously a postie and PHG from 86 to 90 and pretty saddened at the way the job's been allowed to go to pot by a management team that'd have trouble running a bath let alone a business, to the picket lines!!

Hello from the US

Post by sonique291 »

Hello to everyone from the US. I am a letter carrier with 23+ years service. It's amazing to see that our own postal service is not the only one that seems to be going down the tubes. I wish you all good luck in your jobs and would be glad to answer any questions you might have about the way things are done (or not done) here in the States. Be safe, work smarter, not harder.

If i'd known you were getting married JP I would've been down to the church with the D2D confetti.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Thanks for the welcome, and hi to sonique across the pond, been to your country a few times Loved it
I loved the post about usuing D2D for confetti, but then who wants to be reminded of RM on your special day, mind you
when i got married to another postman many years agao our collegues made up a 318 log for our day lol ( I think that was the terminoligy for it ) long days gone past alas we have parted but we both still work on RM just

I have been across the board and read many posts, I have had mixed reaction on my delivery regarding strikes but it amazes me that the public still don't know the in and outs of why we are striking, I spend half my time explaining it to them :arrrghhh :Applause :cuppa off for one of these now lOL
