Well it seems RM bosses are digging their heels in this time.......though it never seems to be the fat cats who suffer, just the posties who do all the work! I say sack the management and start again.

Re: Opinions
Thats odd , my phone bill is much bigger now compared to pre privatisation and my usage has not really altered . I'll see if I can dig out and old bill and we could compare the line rental charges just to be fair.cotc2001 wrote:Telecommunications industry - hell of a lot cheaper now with all the companies competing for your businessBELIAL wrote: If you can think of any industry that has been privatised and now has lower charges could you let us know.
Any thoughts on the effect of your postal charges doubling ,you might want to compare the charges of our european rivals

Re: Opinions
Perhaps Cotc2001 was referring to the Internet (provided by Telecoms Companies). Although there's still the problem of getting the goods to the Customers. You can't do that with the Internet.

Re: Opinions
whilst it is unfortunate that customers suffer while we are on strike for what is the point if not to bring it to thier attention that the service that was once taken for granted is under threat!. Not by our going on strike but management policy of 10% year on year savings and a bonus culture for the management teams only with which they can feather their pension nest egg with posties blood sweat and tears!. It was not the postmen and women who abolished the second delivery nor cut Sunday collections or bank holiday collections nor made deliverys later by axeing 50000 posties thus it takes longer to deliver the mail!. NOW WE MUST MODERNISE MORE ANOTHER 15000 TO 30000 JOBS LOST NEXT THE POST WILL BE DELIVERD AT 9-00 PM OR LATER AND THIS IS MODERNISATION HE :mfo CAN SHOVE IT UP HIS ASS!.
