What has happened to the RM, i used to get mail before 10am and first class meant just that!

You'll find most uniformed workers in Royal Mail will be sorry and disgusted by what's happened to you, but not surprised. Royal Mail is managed in a manner where you the customer (and we the workers) do not matter. The service doesn't matter. Only the achievement of ridiculous management targets and their consequential bonuses matter.

The two chaps responsible for screwing the service over are Allan Leighton (now left) and Adam Crozier. You may wish to write to your MP or local paper demanding the return of a proper, efficient postal service that works.

We can't do it, we're not allowed to any more.

Sorry.

Sorry but we are a workers and employees forum we cant explain or apologise officialy for RMs failings but we can both empathise and sympathise with your predicament.

Did the sender do it registered on anything like that it would be easier to trace.

Hope they are fashionable otherwise they'll get stick. Still not good though.

Its now a business not a service and TBH look are our bosses comments from 2006 and that will throw a lot of light on why we find ourselves in the current situation http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... omers.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The management changed our start times and cancelled the 2nd deliveries - we are now not allowed out onto the rounds until 1000 am at my office during the week and about 0845 on Saturdays. On first class they changed how they measured the Quality of Service and you now see the results.

Again welcome to a business that once was a service and perhaps you may have some sympathy with the strikes :Very Happy

:cuppa Please before you start slagging us all off. Our you sure it is Royal mail who is delivering the goods? There are other couriers such as TNT or DHL etc. Check with the sender who they use? We always seem to get the blame :sad:

I'm not aware of any RM tracking system which records the address to which it was sent. Perhaps somebody else knows of one, I have seen them enter the address details when I post a Special Delivery but we are actually told NOT to write the address when we get a signature.

I would go to your local sorting office and explain that you are aware there may be a backlog due to industrial action (which obviously you fully support) and could they have a look to see if there are any packets for you. If they won't give them to you (with id) then ask that they be delivered.

Lucky Group 4 didn't deliver - they would be falling out the back.

Good news about the packets though - hopefully the other one will turn up soon.

i too am glad they arrived.now look at the packets and if they have a sticker on it will tell you the date posted.i wanna know if it was rm or the sender telling porkies.i rekon 9/10 times its the poster saying yes we sent it when ,no they havnt.

cant count how many times ive been badgered for a parcel for days being told it was sent so and so day.only to turn up and on reading the label says it was posted the day before :evil/mad
