What have I got myself into????!!!

Hi everyone,
I have been a member of Royal Mail now for about 18 months now and can quite honestly say it is the best job I have ever had.
ObviouslyI am only part-time but have found that there is plenty of docket to be had as long as you never say no, as you'll soon fall out of favour with the big-wigs if you do.
As I am a reserve, I have got to see and learn alot more than other guys that started around the same time as me, and have found that being flexible can definately work in your favour as a show of willingness can open many doors, I drive (allowing me full-time hours on some occasions), marshall on early mornings and am also designated for administration of Tracked packets on a morning.
Having come from a retail /motortrade management background, I do however find the running of RM very strange.
Most of the time it's very difficult to see who's in charge....management or the F/T'ers!
There is such divide within the company between Management and F/T'ers and F/T'ers and P/T'ers!
Surely weare all working towards one common goal so why aren't weall heading in the same direction?!
Even the management at my DO are pulling against eachother!!
I feel it's time to leave the dark ages behind, knuckle down, and get some decorum back at RM......or am I naive and missing the point of what being a Postie is all about..........?

If you haven't already realized it that's how RM like it. Its what they do divide and conquer. Or so they hope (not working to well for them so far in most areas but we have two offices local to us where the union membership is low so they get all the crap before the rest of us).
