Personally I dont agree that Royal Mail are being more subtle than in 2007, to the contrary I think they have resorted to the tactic that you can strike how often you want we will just carry on. A tactic they have often used in the past namely the Employee agenda dispute and the London Weighting dispute.

The difference this time is that because of our defeat of the Governments privatisation plan they have decided to give Royal Mail the go ahead to take us on. Thats why we need more ballots and more yes votes sooner rather then later. The so called day of action has only seen some 170 offices deciding to take strike action including London. This has got to increase as quickly as possible only then will we see Royal Mail begin to get some pressure put on by the Government.

Royalmail's agender for change is too railroad it through whether we like it or not and our branches will try our best too resist this but the national leadership needs to back us all!.

I meant subtle in a sarcastic manner , I only meant subtle as Millidge wanting people sometimes in the same place , on different contracts . From bitter experience , that is classic union busting .

I agree that things stink of Mandy , the privatization of RM was originally a Blairite policy , unfortunately a person like Mandy can't help himself and is usually forced to resign for one reason or other . Mandy is a very bitter , twisted and dangerous person , not to be under estimated .

Brown did apparently threaten Ward in 2007 over IA which scuppered his chances of going for a early election . There was a few interesting allegations about Hayes too . They do say Labour's relations with the unions tend to go from murder to divorce .

You're right about London weighting , Ward organized that very well and they had to get Hayes & :lfo to sort things out as that was a mexican stand off and a half , talks were acrimonious according to the BBC . RM were after sequestering the CWU assets as they were desperate to find something that could prove the CWU were condoning UIA .

I have read the pseudo journalism by Hellmail Hacks about RM " digging in " - they have a " good relationship " with RM's press office .
