Lord accused of giving MPs misinformation

Busniess Secretary Lord Mandelson has been accused of spreading "misinformation" during a meeting with Lancashire Labour MPs.
Morecambe and Lunesdale MP Geraldine Smith branded comments made by the Government minister about part-privatising the postal service as "misinformation".

Almost 150 Labour MPs are opposed to legislation covering the part privatisation, which is likely to be put to a Commons vote next month.

MPs Lindsay Hoyle (Chorley), Mark Hendrick (Preston) and David Borrow (South Ribble) have all signed parliamentary motion tabled by Ms Smith which warns that a part sale of the Royal Mail would "risk fracturing one of Britain's greatest public services".

Lord Mandelson met North West MPs in Westminster last week to explain the government's plans.

two of those MP's signing the motion is a surprise . Had Mark down as a Blairite ,IMO he can't be fond of McRuin & :mfo then but he's in a very safe seat , the other one is a very marginal seat .
Apparently the pep talk was on the lines of " Nobody is bothered bar the Unions and it's to safeguard the pensions " . :mfo was allegedly told by one MP that if he said that in Blackpool , he'd get lynched .

The irony is that two ex Tory MP's that were " displaced " in 97 have allegedly been a lot of trouble for some reason . One is using Carter Ruck , one of the most feared and expensive libel lawyers in the country .

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
