That this House notes with concern the deficit in the Royal Mail Pension Fund; notes the impact of decisions made by HM Treasury, with regard to the pension fund of the Post Office Corporation after Vesting Day, 30 September 1969, and the Post Office Corporation's 13-year contribution holiday which commenced in 1990; and calls on the Government to correct the failures of past governments and to find a way to remove the pension fund deficit.

Should be a greater campaign to get support for this edm.

I want my pension to be the final salary version we currently have when I get to 60 / 65 not some crappy (don't)CARE scheme.

Well said but the union in which we pay are silent but we can still all lobby our MP's for what good it is worth but they have a lot on their minds with the price's of their second home's decreseing and their expenses becoming public knowledge!.

Well said but the union in which we pay are silent but we can still all lobby our MP's for what good it is worth but they have a lot on their minds with the price's of their second home's decreseing and their expenses becoming public knowledge!.

Seen my MP at his constitancy surgery about pension, also made some points to branch secratary and area rep after recent meeting (meeting was about EA at our office not pensions) the view of both was pensions issue is done and dusted, goverment will take deficit but the changes to scheme stay! if we want our pension back if think we can go they are only intrested in the privateisation now.

ps. k979aaa my MP has signed every EDM going one of the first signatories on most, lobby your MP if you like but they aint going to get our pension reinstated.

pps. planx EDM's don't get heard it's the mildest form of rebellion, barely more than tut tut.
