No2EU

Post by Yahoorsur »

Not strictly a RM privatisation topic,but I came across this on t'internet,looks like Bob and his merry band are gearing up to set up a political party,and yes I know that they say it's a 'platform' not a party but thats just sematics,from what I can see,there's a lot that would attract former Labour voters like myself
'Vote No2EU - Yes to Democracy to defend public services such as Post Offices and the NHS and to renationalise our railways and develop manufacturing in Britain.'
Anyway heres the link to it,what do the good people of RMC think?

On the other hand,this chap here thinks it's a bad move http://www.workersliberty.org/story/200 ... e-platform" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The more you know, the worse it gets.

hmmmm - I'm sympathetic, but I've aIways been put off by the usual anti-EU lot 'cos they always seem like a haven for closet BNP types :no no but I think in this case the workersliberty.org objection might be nit-picking.
I dunno though, I'm so cynical about 'democracy' and party politics these days it feels as if anyone who actually thinks it all through is being side-lined - like there is nowhere to turn.......exasperated!!!

Problem is where in a region that has a strong alternative to the main three such as the NW and Eastern regions Bob Crow and fellow canidates could split the vote and thus allow the BNP to nip in and gain the last seat, but to say they shouldnt stand then conflicts with the very prinples of democracy.

Also what use is Bob Crows set up to us as they are not planning on taking up their seats if elected and thus cant make any changes to the EU system! Utterly pointless.

As an internationalist ,I find it offensive that every time anyoe raises legitimate critical comments about the undemocratic EU they are immediately dismissed as nationalists

Bob Crow, a government stooge :left: :left: :left: :left: :left: :left: mind you anyone to the left of the BNP (which appears to be 99% of the population) is seen as a Government Stooge or an enemy rather than someone with different views that needs to be engaged and reasoned with.

1. He gave his support to the now defunct umbrella group Socialist Alliance
2. He was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain and then the Communist Party of Britain after the CPGB's dissolution
3. He left to join Arthur Scargill's Socialist Labour Party (SLP). He has now left that party as well.
4. Saturday 7 July 2007 Crow called for a new party for the working class.

Obviously a government stooge, its written all over his politics.
