It's my rolling day off on Saturday as well, then I'm on leave the week after! On Friday I'll be on the picket line all day.

Thanks for the offer! I remember 11 years ago when we were out the cleaners would bring us kettles of hot water, and the canteen girls brought us out tea, coffee and sandwiches. We used the toilets at the other units on the trading estate we are on, except for the Parcelforce depot next door! 11 years on there's only us, Parcelforce & WH Smiths left on the estate, so I think we'll have to retreat to Strike HQ (The Corner House) for comfort breaks.

Wont be long before WH Smiths get the franchise deal to do the sorting and delivering the way things are going.

Our last strike our top manager brought us coffee & tea & let us use the loo in the D.O
But that was the days when managers were top blokes

the strike is from 3am to 3am

For those of us who work night-shifts , it is a lockout that we must be cautious and heedful about .

I'm hoping that the planners of the strike have learned from the chaotic experience from the the Way Forward mid-90s when the selection and times of the one day actions led to bizarre situations of local union union officials being at work when members were out on strike and on the picket line , of union activists being spat upon by the public for being strike breakers because their shift were not called out in co-ordination with the rest .

Also union members in Romec and Quadrant must be pressed to not cross picket lines , as they were instructed to do in our last wave of offficial action . Management were able to do large business collections , process through the machines and have yorkies ready for despatch to DOs when we returned to resume work . Machines faults had been fixed by Romec and the strike breaking staff - i remember 60-odd being brought up from Chesterfield to Edinburgh to scab, being fed and watered by Quadrant .

Lets make life hard for them this time .

I've said it 100 times but I'll say it again . . . . . do the job properly EVERY day, and from now on it's even more important, rush around and you're just doing the work from strike days for free. These strike days must cause disruption and cost RM money if we expect Laurel and Hardy to take any notice at all.

if as said on here its a 3am-3am strike,i work nights and i take it my shift finishes at 3am friday morning is that correct?
