To a certain extent, job and finish CAN'T go.

There are people all over the country that now do their bit so they finish early.
Take my driver for example,if job and knock went,he wouldn't go out early to knock his packets out, neither would any one else at my place.
Things would slow down and they would fail, there would be a knock on effect all over and tbh we'd just slow down.
They'd be no incentive,i don't think it will go,but tbf the way they want things we'd be finishing bang on time anyway,so in a way it would go but without it officially going.
I can't see the point of us having to come back to the office to finish our duty,if we all had to do that,it would probably cause more trouble and hassle than what it's worth.
But again, will we have the time to come back?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

At our office we all go out and come back on the vans. This not only creates an extra driving duty it also protects the jobs of the walking men. If Royal Mail come along and want to make savings but everyone is finishing at their proper time, where will RM make their cuts. It will be to late when you've been seen finishing an hour or more early every day. Get on the vans boys and look after your jobs.

Well said Tommy ,how can RM make saving i.e job cuts if we all do the job properly.Only people who give RM time by starting early & using their cars should have their duties extended.Job & knock was used as a trick to soften us posties. In our office we all use the vans ,there will be no savings only extra driving duties created.Eveyone should make a stand and GET ON THE VANS & PROTECT JOBS.

i think this is the only way to go now. they are going to take more and more jobs if we dont stop using cars and start using the vans. i know we all want to get home early but not at the cost of jobs surely

:Applause I loved to hear you lot use vans and have some kind of togetherness in your D.O. Shame more like you dont follow suit :d'oh! Job and knock as some feel is a way of being led down the garden path by RM in to more work or cutting the job up!! As this will rage on as in 1 way it does make it hard for a Rep to argue to not cut duties or overload others, when some finish 2 hrs early.. But on the other side like in my MC. We were told that "in no way (unless we failed) that job and knock would be changed or goal posts moved,, Like FU*K did they keep to it when people tore in to work like madmen/women. Then RM thought WOW "wot if we cracked the whip n then asked em 2 do more work???" "they cant argue as they r paid 4 another 2 hrs." This was only expected from the two faced back stabbing TURDS they really are.. Now there is such a bad feeling in my office and i wonder why?? We are as much to blame in trusting these SCUM..

OUT.................

i think thats about the size of it. luv getting home early. but its made it easy for them to take jobs. every year they want more. people have to understand there will be no job if they carry on rushing out and finnishing early.
