TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE VAST AMOUNTS OF MONEY ROYALMAIL HAVE WASTED OVER THE YEARS,( MY PERSONAL ALL TIME FAVOURITE.... RM TO CONSIGNIA AND BACK AGAIN!) 8 MILLION QUID WILL JUST BE SMALL CHANGE. WERE THINGS EVER THIS BAD BEFORE THESE TW*TS TOOK OVER?

When you think RM were supposedly making around Â£1m a day before these two idiots arrived and suddenly started losing around Â£1m a day, it's safe to assume things were better before. But, the cynical among us might be tempted to ask, if we suddenly started losing Â£2m a day, why wasn't someone up before a Commons Select Commitee for a good roasting? So you would wonder if we really are losing the money these scumbags say we are. They have a track record for lying (27% pay rise, 25% overpaid, 40% underworked) so who can say?

When are we going to hear that RM's Sales & Marketing people are getting a kick up the arse rather than us as usual.
They must be earning a tidy pay packet but they have a very low profile.
In any other company where orders are lost and at this rate these well paid employees are first to face the music.

just a thought but we are the most efficent we have ever been but we are loosing contracts hand over fist,we made about 760 million proffit last year but there is no money,is this the fault of the staff,the equipment,or just the worst leadership in this country since bearings bank

Don't believe the hype about RM having no profit. Notice how last years finance report isn't out yet. The last thing RM wants is to announce a profit while fighting us over a pay deal.

Leighton came to us when we were allegedly losing millions a day.Miraculously two years later we were hundreds of millions in profit. The losses were made due to RM writing off over a Â£billion in poor investments in foreign mail companies. Â£800 million on new equipment for post office counters to be used mainly for benefits payments. This cock up was completed just as the government pulled the plug on using counters for benefits. The books were also cooked to group most of the 40,000 admin redundancies into a loss year.

Ask your manager to show you the excel spreadsheet showing the delivery cost per item for each office in your area. Most will be running at less than 10 pence per item. Even poorly performing offices come in under the downstream access rate of 13pence per item. RM is in profit but it weakens their position for us to know it. We are being lied to in order to justify cost cutting.
