Laurel and Hardy are (as we all know) complete idiots but whoever wrote this letter for them is a bit sharper. . . . . the points made in it can all be backed up by figures and there's definately a lot of creeping that the MPs will like. Whilst the figures are technically correct we could all show figures that show the complete opposite yet are still correct. . . .that's what the politicians call "spin" and they are well used to it. Any politician worth his salt will see straight thru this work of fiction for what it really is. . . . . the ramblings of a desperate man.

Keep the faith and keep telling "jo public" the hard truth . . . . . together we can succeed :pray
Together we stand, divided we fall

Crozier memory loss!

Post by torman »

Crozier you say Royal Mail are short of money, but did you mention on your letter to M.Ps that your own bonus is well over £300,000 for this year,or did you just happen to forget this small fact, not forgetting your other cronies who no doubt will also be raking it in at our expense,& also your DOMS who are on a big bonus too.All we are asking is a decent wage for getting your bonus for you & your mates.Remember keep strong & stick with the CWU we have all got to see this to the end.

For a publicly owned company he likes to make the distinction, as a private company does, between the pitiful workers who are getting far too greedy for their own good and the upstanding people in charge, doing the best they can!
"We do not believe the dispute is about pay." No, it's about privatisation.
"The CWU have on many occasions made it clear that they do not believe we should have to pay back our commercial loan from the government, in spite of the fact that there would be illegal state aid issues, and that competition should be stopped - which is clearly impossible because many large multinationals have already invested heavily in the UK market."
So who's interests should we care about? Catering to other privately owned companies that exploit their workers. (With the law on their side) It's only "illegal" if they let big business dictate policy for their own interests.

"ColleagueShare", marketing can paint anything to sound good. The lack of a space is really "modern" as well!

The reason people like Crozier can say these things is that from past struggles people like him thought they won and nothing would come about as strong, let's hope that with the ballot results they can be shown who's really in charge; those who work for their pay.

Has the CWU written to MP's stating our side of this "super deal" Crozier is offering us? I would especially like to hear what CWU sponsored MP's such as BOB LAXTON have to say on the matter.Strange isn't it that all those Labour MP's after our votes for the Deputy Leadership are strangely silent about Royal Mail and our dispute. And what of Gordon Brown where does he stand ? Get rid of Crozier and Leighton and give Royal Mail some real leadership and vision, stand up for your Socialist principles that the labour Party was built on if not have the balls to privatise Royal Mail upfront not by ducking and diving. So all you Labour MPs out there give us your backing in Public and if not the CWU should remove the Political levy from supporting the party and MPs and give it someone more deserving. All seems to have gone quiet on the political front lets get those MPs scared about losing votes !

tomangoe-absolutely right. That's what I'm saying in my post.Get the CWU to write to the MP's and state our case and put pressure on CWU sponsored MP's for that's what their job is otherwise why are the union sponsoring them.

"We do not believe the dispute is about pay."
For a second there, I thought maybe he'd actually done a little research but then starts banging on about the loan again. Sheesh!!! Besides the 2.5% being grossly unfair, he just happens to neglect mentioning all those strings.
I would hope the CWU do respond to this with a rebuttal letter to MPs, but, however, some of them will be stupid enough to believe this. The union should have got in there first!!

Well said! For one thing, you're not a stranger to having to earn what you get, unlike him. His 'people' are the burglars, con artists, drug dealers, arms dealers, third world child labour exploiters, Royal spongers, scum who send lads (but not their sons) off to die in illegal wars, pimps and other parasites we could all do without.

The fact that Crozier is telling MPs there will be industrial action throughout the summer won't bother them - they'll be on holiday from July to October like they always are;

But even if those CWU Labour MPs supported, the party itself is nowhere near socialist and wouldn't make a difference. As 'IWW Fellow Worker' says, people like Crozier are running it and socialism is off the books without clause four.

Crozier also wrote to Leighton.

Dear Alan,
Following the ballot result I wondered how you are sleeping at night.
Adam.

The reply was.

Dear Adam,
I'm sleeping like a baby. I get about an hours sleep then wake up and cry for the rest of the night.
Alan.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

He who pays the piper calls the tune and one of Labour's backers is Rupert Murdoch of The Scum. If there was the slightest hint of socialism about Labour, Murdoch wouldn't touch it. I remember Peter Hain in his days with the Young Liberals when he was such a pain in the arse to the establishment, they tried to fit him up on a robbery charge. He then joined Labour and quietened down. Ten years ago he (and Bill Morris) said they would support the Liverpool Dockers, but backed down as the election approached. Alan Johnson was never anything other than a self-interested liberal. We thought Tuffin was bad, but Johnson was no friend of ours. But Labour has never been a socialist party.
