Hello everyone,
I'm a postie from the most easterly office in the country and have over 23 years service (god help me!). I welcome sites like these that allow posties from all over the country to talk to one another and compare notes. It should be very interesting over the next few weeks (months?) what are your thoughts on the ballot result and the battle ahesd?

hello all
First stint of picket duty eh? you must be a reletive newby TBT - this will be my third stint! You must make sure you take part in the pickets; the sense of unity and comradeship can be truly invigorating plus you get to see who the waiverers are and discover how low the managers really are (over 300 volunteered to cross Luton's picket line last week!!). I must say though it is heartnening for a reletive old timer like me to know that there are still people coming into the industry that are prepared to fight for their rights. Right I better put my soapbox away now and get back to work.

No chewie keep the box out we like the old soap box on here. Actually looking forward to the camaraderie. I was in the forces till the Mid 90s and this is the only job since where I have felt the same level of comradeship.

They'll need our support at some stage and as someone once said: 'A long memory is the most radical idea going.'Chewie3771 wrote:First stint of picket duty eh? you must be a reletive newby TBT - this will be my third stint!
