It's not. The literature for DM26 was widely available by early April. The agreement says local solutions work best. It's no good the postal executive making futile gestures. They agreed the wording.

Lazy, bag avoiders? Yes. Detached from the membership? Yes. Brown envelopes? Nah. They get enough from the trough as it is.

Easy to spot who the managers are on this site.

I understand your frustration but you need to focus that on the cause. The CWU.

All of theise saying just work.your hours, no stress.
That's exactly.what.I done, my manager removed me from my job of 15 years. No stress though.
You definitely didn’t get sacked for starting and finishing on your time.

Forty odd years I’ve paid into this union. Been on strike every day we were called out , even when I had young kids and a big mortgage. Always stuck up for them when non members would have a go but the total silence on this s**t show is unbelievable.
We haven’t got it in yet but at my age I’m not crippling my already knackered body any more than it already is.
Slider tool. Lol.

Bristol District have now broken CWU ranks and written a letter stating that further DM26 in their area should be put on hold, as the roll out so far as been total disaster.

All branches should follow suit because it is clear that RM are bludgeoning this thing in

Do people ever stop complaining on this platform? Get a life and stop worrying about this job. Start on your time, deliver what you can deliver within your hours and go home. If mail sits in frames for a year, who gives a flying bollocks? It’s not our problem!
Do you work in a nice office with walks that are 3 hours long?
Have some respect for those who are struggling mentally & physically with the workload. Some offices have got 5+ hour walks and have substantial vacancies, it is in these offices where people are coming under severe stress & pressure to do more, more, more even though they can’t complete even 50% of their walk.
Bully for you that you can be so blase & just shrug off overwhelming pressure from management but at least have respect for those who are affected by a huge workload & toxic environment. You’re obviously a WUM!!
No, I work in an office where the majority of duties fail every day. Some duties don’t go out 2/3 times each week. Do I give a bollocks? No. Is it giving me more work to do? No. Am I expected to work a minute past my time? No. The exact same way you aren’t. If you are taking more and more work, that’s your problem and your choice because you can’t be forced to work a second past your time, whether you like it or not.
To give you some perspective, there are multiple duties in my office whereby if mail gets delivered once per fortnight it is almost now seen as a success.

One of the biggest stresses i am finding is dealing with the ever increasing number of people approaching me on the street asking why theyve not had mail for over a week.

Likewise, people get notified their parcel will get delivered that day, but we just cannot guarantee it will, and this results in angry and confused customers approaching us again. It is stressful and unpleasant and unnecessary.
Have the number of your office pre-written on a bit of card and apologise to the person asking but let them know they should contact the management at your office to voice their concerns. Don’t use personal numbers but deffo hand out the office number.
Exactly this. Again, not our problem how often people receive mail and not one bollocks do I give about them. Let management deal with them, that’s their job. We still get paid 😀
just tell them what i use to tell them is to contact ofcon and there local mp , as you ring hr or the office it just gets swept under the carpet . :thumbup
