They are running out of staff full stop. We had 3 new starters last week, by the end of the week 2 had already left and the 3rd had gone off sick.

That’s the exact situation with us. New starters either don’t arrive or disappear after the first week or are off sick finding a different job.

So if RM are dragging staff from other offices to prop up DM26, there just aren’t enough people in the pot

Yes, I can confirm the fertiliser cascades from an elevated position. OPGs get whipped by the COMs who get scolded by the OPL who gets harangued by ROD(?). The vitriol sort of dissipates beyond that. At a certain level you're more likely to be having lunch with the head of Ofcom than receiving a tirade down the phoneline.

There used to only be seven steps from LM to CEO, so you could attract yourself some powerfully negative attention very quickly depending on circumstances (like a colleague who posted something online and then the Daily Record reprinted it). Although in these times of 200+ offices on the list I would imagine everyone feels safer in the herd.
