It actually made sense to do that.
Since that hasn't been done. Out first week just past where we started dm26 has been a complete failure.
With a finishing time of 4pm the van shares weren't getting back until 5pm. On the Wednesday it would have been 6pm if indoor staff didn't help do parcels.
For 1 there isn't time saved.
Any time saved on the light side is consumed by the heavy side. Before I only took 1/6th d2d's. Was simple and fast to tie up. The new model requires all d2d's in the frame and with double slots means lots of cold calling.
Picking d2d's out the frame is time consuming which eats away at any time they think u save.
Then with duties already about 15-20mins too big to begin with Ur getting an insane amount of calls.
Then there's the parcels. Could barely fit 2 duties in before. Now we have to come back to the office fi pick up the last side which by that time feels like Ur picking up a third duty. Usually at about 3:30pm. So more time wasted traveling back to the office.
The add-on thirds takes double the time u may have for it.
So the whole system doesn't work.
Tried to tell the manager. Was told because its the first week it's just teething problems
