It's no more embarrassing than handing them a week's worth of post assuming you don't also leave that in the frame?

Just going back to the OP if D2D are only going to parcel customers in future then is that the start of RM giving up delivering mail??? If so then soon we'll become just parcel and D2D delivery drivers!!
