When legacy dropped down from 40 (or was it 43hrs?), to 39 and then 37, they lost no pay.
It was a 40 hour week when the Shorter Working Week process began in 2013. I believe 43 hours went away with either the Way Forward Agreement (2000) or Single Daily Delivery (2004) - whichever brought in the five day week.
From the looks of lots of posts it looks like DM26 is being rushed in typical Royal Mail style.
They don't want rollout to stall like it did last year with the ODM. All that matters is the number of offices converted over to DM26 goes up on schedule, and so it's about quantity and not quality. And somehow Quality of Service will be restored along the way. I look forward to more former customers recognising me and complaining because my old frame currently looks like a bomb site.

Theres already been 2 resignations
HCTs are all going as shared vans.
2 rurals are going and 1/6th of those rounds will be picked up by 6 other rurals.
Some shared vans will be down to 1 person covering both then expected to assist another shared van with 2 on it.
Some pods are going to be assisted by firms duty and various rurals...allegedly.
Our union rep is being medically retired cos he can barely walk now so won't cope with larger duties.
Lot of unhappy folk....we go live on the 31st despite being understaffed and after 6 weeks will have a repick.

Can’t be signed off as a GO if you are understaffed.

Sadly you very much can, happened at ours, union said it wouldn’t happen but it did. Combine that with people leaving it’s bad

Who signed it off when it was understaffed? It was doomed to fail. You can’t start understaffed and you can’t start with agency.

How do you actually stop it if (as it appears) the union rep might not be present for much longer and the CWU hierarchy seem to have gone AWOL?
What if the area reps say 'It is what it is'. We're f00ked basically.

You stop it being a GO by the unit rep not signing it off. If the unit is understaffed, that is a reason not to go live.
The unit rep needs to know how many staff short you are and be hammering home that they won’t be signing it off until recruitment is done.

fairly sure it will be
The unit rep should enter into IR Disagreement to halt it until they have recruited staff.

If you have a unit rep they probably should but there's a hell of a lot of offices without CWU representation who have if my office is anything to go by been left to fend for themselves

Not having a rep at this particular time is pretty terrible. Means the area rep will be covering several offices.
So if you are in an office that has no rep and is marching ahead when understaffed, someone has to contact the area rep to get them to pay attention.

The area rep has been asked to come to our office, two weeks and waiting!

Call the branch. Contact the divisional rep. They HAVE to step in to stop managers bodging it.
