Well, DM26 is in but it doesn't really feel like it.

If you're staring down the barrel of four days stuff in the frame, instructions were to take the usual screed of priorities and clear what you can. For the lucky ones starting from a clear frame, it was to take a bit off a duty that's bulging out of the slots. Which makes we wonder why that wasn't the directive before implementation.

Lots of official looking people in Hi-viz waistcoats carrying clipboards in the unit this morning. All handsomely paid, I'm sure.

I forgot to mention:

No changes to frames, as far as I could see. There are frames for the reinstated duties but the ones having DPs removed haven't been amended. The geographic mess from the 2021 revision is not being fixed until a later date, if at all. Some of the new pods encompass duties on differing sides of the office.

Nobody seems to know what their third of the third frame is theirs. In fact, I'm not sure that anyone took theirs at all. Keys and specials and labels out of the locker are a mystery - that's still allocated per frame.

We've been told that this week is just bedding-in DM26. It's a new era but, uh, some of the old era is still in the frames.

Reading back through this and reading Martin's posts is a bit like Brexit. The big sell here was the start times being earlier, but failed to mention the finish times being later and all the implications that has.
