What do you seriously expect any union to do, tell It's members to just take the summer off until temperatures cool down again in September? Given it's not a red weather alert there's not much any union can do about it anyway.

Based on recent summers these heat waves have become part of the new normal they promised us during COVID. Along with disgraceful fuel prices, hyper food inflation, ever more absurd politics etc.

Anyway, that makes the problem hard to address from all sides. Only earlier starting would be a fix but that's not realistic. So what else can be done? I cannot think of much.

Just hate walking in now to the same s**t every day.Morale is lower than its ever been and face a frame full of mail and close to 200 drops on most days.Manager is useless and is constantly ignoring the problems that need addressing and is sweeping it under the carpet.Not enough vans,pda’s and staff resigning.Constant customer complaints to top it off.I know im speaking for a lot of offices here,probably most.

Earlier starts may have to become the norm in summer, as trying to deliver mail in the heat of the afternoon sum is madness. I doubt they do it in Spain or the South of France?
