Overseas package sent to wrong DO, now set to 'Return to Sender'

Post by Ravenxeo »

Tracking Number: 280743118000D2B41F8E7

I bought from GamerSupps on the 15th of last month, sent on the 22nd, cleared customs from the US on the 23rd and went to 'North West Midlands MC' on the 25th.
Its going to Telford which is in the North West Midlands so that seemed fine...
then it arrived at Greenford MC near London on the 27th which is 149 miles away from Telford. THEN on the 30th; Slough DO, which is even further East, states 'Recipient not at address, Returned to Sender.'

What does this mean..?

Is it going back to America or back to a previous MC?

Surely they see the address is 150 miles away and send it there not back to the US because someone saw 'Telford' and sent it to Telford Drive in Slough like an idiot... right?

Telford post code is TF and Slough is SL, So there is no excuse right?

I've been buying monthly since September last year, never changed the address at all so its certainly not user error on my part.

what can i do about this? anything?

This parcel was posted in the UK using an internal UK service. Some sellers ship entire containers to the UK and break the contents down here, meaning that the parcels enter the mail system here. It looks like that is what happened to your parcel.

There are many things that could have gone wrong with this process, for instance you could have been given somebody else’s tracking number or the contractor in the UK could have mixed up the address labels.

It will go back to the contractor that broke down the container, assuming that their return address was on the outside of the parcel. If that is successful it would then leave the mail system whilst still in the UK, so you would have to ask the seller what happens after that.

Under UK law it is the seller’s responsibility to get the item to you. If you had bought this from a UK seller you would now be entitled to a refund. As you bought this from an overseas seller your rights are less clear. You should request a refund from the seller and, if that doesn’t work, you should ask your credit card provider for a chargeback.

I checked previous delivery records and normally they go from Heathrow to Princess Royal sorting then, after a day or so, to Tweedale DO then straight to me on the same day every single time.
9 times in a row.
I have no clue what happened here...

Good news is; A brief talk with customer service got me a fresh shipment free of charge.
i will have to wait between 10 and 14 days to get it but considering track record its more likely to get here than not.

There is some supreme outside possibility that the other tubs still arrive but with no clue what company or part of the procedure messed it up i have no one to contact for sorting it out so... this is all i got.
