Training time

Post by Walter sobchak »

Has this increased from 5 days to 2 weeks + ??

Couple of new starters at our place seem to be getting extra training time.

The training period is longer than two weeks. All new starters should have a training pack which is completed by the workplace coach and the line manager.

Don't think the thread this link ends up going to was the thread you thought you were linking to!

The new training programme includes a battle with Leighton. Once you beat him you officially become Leighton's nemesis.

Why does that not surprise me.
The record I have heard of is 20min then 1hr.
Both were expected to be given HCT & given a start point & deliver, no training, both walked.

Extra training time is pointless if they move rounds constantly. Most leave because they get the hang of something and then come in one morning to a new round that is not prepped, triple mail, tracked and told to get on with it. Some rural rounds are impossible to learn without someone at least showing you the route and the basics of it for a few days. And how to bag it up so it makes some sense when you are out.

Just do Tracked for a couple of days using a DPR route and you soon learn a rural, better than trying to watch what the duty holder is doing as he just speeds around his own duty.
