I can only think they believe members have a short memory and can't remember the previous trialled methods.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑Today, 17:53CWU taking a pounding in Facebook comments for their No more ODM with clapping hands emoji post and rightfully so

It's as if they have been told by RM that this is being brought in, non negotiable. RM let them sit inside the tent long enough to tie it into a pay deal and the CWU get to name it and choose the colours of the frames.

Monday you must walk around backwards
Tuesday you must do it while blindfolded
Wednesday you must juggle balls while out on delivery
Thursday you must hop round on one leg
Friday you must walk around and communicate with people through nothing more than the art of mime
Surely it doesn't have to be so complicated? Still not my problem I guess but you all have my sympathy!

Lol. The union only think they have a say in Royal Mail. It’s coming so we may all just accept and get on with it. At the end of the day, if it fails and mail sits in frames for days, who gives a bollocks? We all still get paid as we do now.Perseus wrote: ↑Today, 17:58I can only think they believe members have a short memory and can't remember the previous trialled methods.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑Today, 17:53CWU taking a pounding in Facebook comments for their No more ODM with clapping hands emoji post and rightfully so

As far as I can see it's *exactly* the trial office ODM, except the "lapse a bit of town duty to rurals" bit.
Which isnt going to happen.

Still surprising there's no "stick" to encourage us to vote "Yes" I can't see how the CWU are going to get a "Yes" vote, when we're basically voting for additional work with nothing in return.Pfrizzy10 wrote: ↑Today, 18:06Lol. Remember after the 2022 strikes there was a deal in 2023 when the first agreement that was tabled got roundly boo'd.
They got back round the table and got money from the pension surplus to give everyone over £1000 to get it over the line.

I can't see how rurals would have any time to support town. After a Saturday of only first class and parcels Monday would be 1st class and parcels on 50% of a round and 50% of double everything on the other half. Tuesday would be 50% of treble everything on half a round and 50% of 1st class and parcels on the other half of the round. So realistically you won't be able to clear on a Tuesday and then begins the busier days.

We are getting a pay rise and potentially more Saturdays off. How is it additional work when you are still working 37 hours? What I do in my time now will be exactly the same as what I do in my time when changes come inTopperGas wrote: ↑Today, 19:01Still surprising there's no "stick" to encourage us to vote "Yes" I can't see how the CWU are going to get a "Yes" vote, when we're basically voting for additional work with nothing in return.Pfrizzy10 wrote: ↑Today, 18:06Lol. how do "ringfenced" duties fit into this scam? we have several on these at ours,
they already get away with murder, will their extra be dancing on our graves?

We're entitled to an annual pay rise regardless?Pfrizzy10 wrote: ↑Today, 19:43We are getting a pay rise and potentially more Saturdays off. When the changes come in you'll do what your manager tells you, at the moment you just do whatever duty you're assigned to each day.
Regardless I assume you'll be one of the few who'll be voting "Yes" then?

Saturdays will never be pure 1C, you're going to have 2C mech as well. Either 2C that has been released as there is a 1C item for the same DP or 2C has hit the time limit. The DTS system goes purely on the number of elapsed days since an item first went through an iLSM or IMP (the machines that sort the mail into batches).
