I hope the cwu chairs have big cushions because they will struggle to sit down after that.
So 3% of £15 an hour in old contract and 4.75% of £13 an hour new contract means the new contracts will get about 15p closer, it will only take about 100 years for the gap to close at that rate.
Agreement that unless the first step is backdated to Septembet the agreement that was voted on before would be broken (nothing agreed till everything agreed).
No more consultation till Jan 27 (two years after the agreement), then will say can’t afford it and enough old contracts have left so we can start to erode the old contracts to get to equalisation then.
Anyone who agrees to this is a fool, our one ace was the fact they needed the uso reform in, as soon as that is through any chance of any uplift in terms is sold down the river….

All the weeks of extending the process to ensure the new entrants terms were sorted…how many of these have now been agreed with definitive timelines….

How does this 3 into 4 work with Non Drivers, what do they do Saturdays? I'm a driver by the way just curious how it works with our non drivers from offices who have done the trial.

Either leaflets in the office, or there is a 3rd seat in the van available, so they can still help out with deliveries.

In the spirit of this new method, originally they were to be van assistants but now they are assistants of vans.

And us new entrants are losing our time and a quarter for OT!!
As a further alignment step, the overtime rate for all new entrants (including those on a fulltime equivalent working week above 37 hours) shall be x 1 the applicable hourly rate, no later than 1 June 2026.

So a new contract employee now working 50+ hours a week will probably be worse off? Only the CWU could pull that off!

They genuinely must think their members are stupid.

It’s still 3 posties and 4 deliveries.

About time they all resigned.

Wtf….this is nothing more than a surrender document.
It’s not a pay rise, it’s another pay cut.
The 1.75% on top for new recruits has to be a joke, it would take them decades to align themselves with legacy staff.
Am shocked at how bad this is.

So in line with equalisation, they’re happy to remove the 1.25x overtime rate, but not equalise the hourly rate
Are the union actually for real?

2025 rates: 50 hours: £686
2026 rates: 50 hours: £684

This seems to be about the point in which it is a pay cut. Anyone doing more than 50 hours a week on the new inferior contract has taken a pay cut, but their base hourly rate has increased which you could argue is... good? What incentive is there to do more than 50 hours a week now?

They spent 8 months insisting that 3 covering 4 was impossible and they would never agree to it. Months and months of negotiations and crying to Parliament and what do they sign up for? 3 covering f***ing 4! I knew Ward and Walsh would let us down but this is honestly incredible.

That's appalling, also I wonder if the overtime rate for old contracts will be affected, will it stay at less followed by even less or will it also change to standard rate thus increasing the gap between old and new even further.

Well obviously they do because you keep paying them.

• A new delivery site incentive scheme will also be introduced for each office in
conjunction with the roll out of USO Reform. :nervous

What's this?! Hope it's not more commit to deliver bullshit :left:
