They seem very quick here to offer ill health retirement. Also don’t seem to give a F when an old hand leaves.

My view is the new Managers are out to impress & see what’s going on as the norm.
The old Managers have all but given up on the s**t show that’s happening & just want to get through the day.
Then the real minority are those that still have Royal Mail printed on all major organs & have been there years, bullies, no social skills & think they are god!!

It's more likely that RM managers are incentivised to try and retain the newer entrants.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

We were told last year that 'defeatist comments' in conversation with new starts would invoke reprecussions; which I take to mean local management were being leaned on by upper management to stem the haemorrhage, and anytime management do anything it involves an incentive - which I 99% guarantee would be financial in nature.
The machine stops.

Yep, I'm off next month, been here nearly two years, just had enough, as you say, work loads not doable, causes stress and anxiety, fed up of working hard yet getting paid £300+ less a month than legacy staff, fed up of compulsory Sundays and fed up of the ever increasing parcels and packets, along with all the other stuff were expected to do in our working day.. Time to move on and also give my body a rest.

Sounds to me guys just thinking this is the case and its now accepted as gospel seen it plenty of times in ours unless of course the manager has confirmed he's on a bonus for getting rid of old timers.

I'm seeing a lot this past few weeks of people saying to solve all the issues 'put it back to 1 person 1 duty', or words to that effect.

Can someone explain this to me if it is a viable option as opposed to ODM or the CWU's 'heavy and light'.
