It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Honesty. Should be called an Honesty List.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
It feels like this is where there should be some direct regulatory involvement then. It wouldn’t be difficult for some kind of oversight either from Ofcom or the government. You only have to have one person from either visit once to see the USO is being ignored.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
Definitely. When RM was all over the media last week due to whistleblowers, it seems to have finally gotten out that RM holds mail back in Mail Centres before we even get it. OFCOM should be monitoring the MCs.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
So in theory if you've got 33 or less duties you should be on the list if the criteria is this -
Units that report three consecutive days of 30% of DPs failing USO gets you on the list and public RM service disruption website. Then you need three consecutive days below 30% to get off the list (well below and back to stable USO)

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
No, it's Delivery Points not duties. At current callrates it's theoretically possible for nothing at all to leave the door and still limbo under the 30% rule.LouBarlow wrote: ↑24 Feb 2026, 17:05How did I miss that? That is why we aren’t. We have over 100.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑24 Feb 2026, 15:58So in theory if you've got 33 or less duties you should be on the list if the criteria is this -
Units that report three consecutive days of 30% of DPs failing USO gets you on the list and public RM service disruption website. Then you need three consecutive days below 30% to get off the list (well below and back to stable USO)
For example: 50% of duties fully failing multiplied by a 25% callrate = 13% rounded up. Only 13% of addresses within an office had an item ready for delivery which then failed to be delivered on that same day. I don't know how multiple days of rollovers factor into that - officially, what didn't go out on Monday gets prioritised on Tuesday, etc.
The machine stops.
