Any offices with surplus, non drivers will be first out of the door.......er how many offices actually have a surplus of staff??!! We're 17 staff down and when we do get new starters they're literally useless. Any new starters that can actually do the job f**k off after 6 months!

EP Group literally couldn't give a s**t about quality of service or us staff. Basically it just seems to me that they're continuing what Simon Thompson started. All the nice words when they bought R.M were just that, to keep the Government on side. They're not serious about any of it because if they where they wouldn't have people like Ricky Macaulay and Co still in positions of responsibility. They'd have paid them off and shown them the door as soon as they bought Royal Mail.
Nicely summed up & fully agree. Was hoping to stick this job out to retirement/reducing my hours…but it feels like the end of the road for me this time…

All these trials are just tinkering around the edges for what will eventually happen - USO will go and addresses will get a letter delivery every second day
Due to no day off cover for either me or my partner's delivery, it has reached the stage that it isn't unusual for addresses to wait 4,5+ days between non 1st class letter deliveries.

I had a couple of letters for bit i was delivering yesterday (13th) that was endorsed as dog loose. The date on the endorsement was the 6th.

It should be more of a scandal that the pandemic was used as cover to essentially turn the job into a six day week again. When we finally had a signing at the end of 2024, all the floating duties were filled by the influx of new starts only for them to do just two weeks tops. Thereafter they were either planted onto one of the many vacant duties or they were kicked about like reserves again.
The machine stops.

I've now seen a couple of CWU divisions on facebook mocking and trivialising any talk of what happened at the last dispute.
They will get enough support for industrial action without that kind of nonsense.

"The support the members are showing is tremendous and proves whilst some might want to dine out on the last dispute.
Our members want to discuss and talk about the future."
