A bloke from Barnsley has shared a hilarious interaction with his local postman, captured on his Ring doorbell. "He's the man my local postie," he captioned the video, which shows the postman donning a Santa hat and patiently waiting at the door—a rarity in today's fast-paced delivery world.

Upon hearing the notification on his phone, Reece Holmes answered via the Ring doorbell, greeting: "Y'alright pal?" The postman responded: "Ey'up, y'alright mucker? You'll never guess what? There's door keys left in the door here." Caught off guard, Reece exclaimed: "Oh f****** h***. I'm two minutes away now, so I'll grab it."

The postman then cheekily suggested: "Alright. Well, can I pop the parcels in and make a cup of tea?" Reece, laughing heartily, replied: "Just open the door, chuck it in".

The postman continued the banter, asking: "What's in the fridge, like?" implying he might help himself to a reward for his good deed.

"All sorts in t'fridge," Reece responded, as the postman used the forgotten keys to open the door, looking straight into the Ring camera and announcing: "Ey'up, I'm in!"

Reece couldn't help but laugh again, expressing his gratitude with a simple: "Nice one," relieved that he wouldn't have to make a trip to the local parcel shop so close to Christmas.

In a cheeky jest, he quipped about wearing his "Grinch thong on an'all" as he entered the house. Reece responded with a playful "Oooh, lovely," to which the postman retorted, "Sorted!" before securing the door.

The postie then queried if he should leave the key in the door since Reece hadn't arrived yet. Reece reassured him that he was "literally around the corner," and it would be fine to leave them as he'd be home shortly.

Their camaraderie and good-natured banter were evident, sparking others to share their own positive experiences with their local posties.

One person shared: "I give my postman a £50 note every year at Christmas. He's brilliant and knows all year round to stick my parcels in my shed when I'm not in".

Another lauded the postman from the video, saying: "Proper legend him have a reyt chin wag with him wen I see him on job".

A woman chimed in: "Love it! What a great comedy duo! Makes a lovely change from doom and gloom, and people being nasty! Well done, guys, have a great Christmas".

"He deserves a good Christmas present," commented a Facebook user, appreciating his humour and kindness, along with the good deed he performed for the homeowner.
