Royal Mail has apologised for using a residential street to park its vans.

People living on Woodlands Terrace, in the Kingswood area of South Gloucestershire, said the vehicles were left on the road every day.

One resident Emily, added: "Woodland Terrace residents don't have driveways so we rely on street parking - [Royal Mail] should not be using local residential roads to park their vans, at all times."

Royal Mail said it was "genuinely sorry" for the inconvenience caused and was working on finding a "permanent solution".

Same problem in every DO or MC . Yard too small and carpark too small if any.

In the same way the frames were never designed to accomodate this many packets, the yards were only ever intended for a minimal delivery fleet (couple of LDV crewbuses and five-seater combos) and the cars of what few staff drove to work (mainly management and people engaged in PCOD).

Right about the frames not fit for purpose now, unless they took 1 row of street slots out to allow another row of packets like the top row style. Yards had plenty room when the bike days were in full swing also true. Royal Mail hasn't moved on with anything still living in the past in so many ways.
