St Neots postman Darren Willis missing for 20 weeks

The family of a postman who went missing from a Huntingdonshire town have urged the public to remain vigilant

Darren Willis, 53, was reported missing from his home on Duck Lane, in St Neots, on June 9 and has still not been found after more than 20 weeks.

Taking to social media earlier this month, his wife Sarah said: "Four months have gone. Mine and more importantly my children's lives have been turned upside down.

"New challenges without you every day. To you he’s Darren the postie, to us he’s our world and more. Please keep sharing and never give up hope for us."

Cambridgeshire Police released a CCTV image of the last known sighting of the post on June 25, adding they "haven't given up hope of finding him."

A number of unconfirmed sightings have been reported, with a number of searches covering St Neots.

A spokesperson for the force told The Hunts Post: "Darren Willis is still missing and our enquiries are on-going but this depends on new information coming to light.

"We’re continuing to urge anyone to thinks they might have seen Darren to contact us."


The last known sighting of Darren was from just before 7am on June 9, on a pathway connecting Willow Bridge and Shakespeare Road in St Neots.

The search for the 53-year-old widened to Bedfordshire, according to officers searching for the father-of-three.

DI Emma Garwood, who is leading the searches, said: "Previous appeals have generated information from the public and we’re very grateful for the support we’ve received so far."

"We grow more concerned the longer Darren is missing but we haven’t given up hope of finding him alive.

"If anyone thinks they may have seen Darren from the CCTV image we’ve released, which we believe to be him, please get in touch.", DI Garwood said.

Mr Willis is described as 6’2”, medium build and is believed to be wearing dark navy jeans and a navy hoodie. He may also be wearing a baseball cap.

Anyone who has information concerning Mr Willis' whereabouts should call 101 quoting incident 83 of June 9.
